Vampire!Itachi x Reader part 3

“Crap!!!” I thought and got up from my bed quickly.

I got panicked and didn't know what to do. Itachi looked like it was no problem at all.

“Hide somewhere, quick!!” I whispered desperate. “I'll try to distract her!”

He just looked at me with the same expression and said nothing. I groaned and went out of my bed room and closed the door behind me.

“Oh...Hi, Sakura.” I said, trying to keep my poker face as good as possible.

“I'm sorry if I disturb you this late, but I just wanted to check up on you.” Sakura said. “How are you feeling now?”

“A little bit better, thank you.”

“Have you been eating anything today?” She asked and came in. “I could fix something for you.”

“Um...I've already eaten some ramen noodles. You don't have to.”

“Are you sure? Anyway, I brought some medicine for the fever, you can take one now before you go to sleep.”

“Thanks.” I said and went to the kitchen.

I took one pill and swallowed it with disgust. It felt better when I drank a glass of water. When I came out of there I noticed that Sakura was on her way into my room. What if she saw Itachi?

“WAIT!!” I yelled, running like hell towards my room to stop her, but she was already in my room.

“____, what have I told you about straining yourself?!” Sakura sighed. “And no wonder that you're sick, your window is wide open.”

Puzzled, I went into my bedroom and saw that Itachi was gone without a trace.

“What's with you anyways?” Sakura asked and closed the window. “You're acting stranger than normal...maybe you should just get some sleep now...I think you could need some.”

“I....I...” I tried to find my words, but was kind of too embarrassed after yelling at her like that.

“Well, I'm not going to bother you anymore tonight. I hope you'll get better tomorrow. See ya.”

“Thank you, Sakura, and yeah...see ya.” I smiled and saw her leave.

I waited until I heard the front door closed and started to look after Itachi. I opened the window to look after him, but all of sudden I heard a small “creak” behind me and turned around and saw Itachi coming out of the closet.

“I thought she'd never leave.” Itachi said.

“And I thought that you left.” I said, relieved over that Sakura didn't noticed him.

“Why would I leave my only love alone?”

This made my cheeks turn blood red and I looked down at the floor. Itachi could really be surprisingly sweet, but in such a weird way. I was so occupied with blushing and thinking sweet things about him, that I didn't noticed him getting closer until I was in his arms. He sat down on my bed with me still in his strong embrace.

“You know...you are irresistible when you're blushing.” He said and smiled warmly.

I couldn't help but giggle a little and sigh happily while I hugged him back.

“Thank you...” I said, not knowing what else to say.

Itachi let me rest my head against his shoulder and started to sway slowly back and forth, while he stroked my hair gently. I grew more and more tired by each stoke and sway. I closed my eyes and smiled. I have never felt so peaceful with someone before.

“I love you...” I sighed and fell asleep in his embrace.

“I love you too, ____” Itachi whispered and I could have sworn I felt a soft, lingering kiss at my cheek before I drifted off into my dreams.
